About Us
WELCOME TO EL PITAYO!
El Pitayo started as a taco truck in 2005 with one simple focus: real Mexican food made from scratch. Nearly twenty years later, that focus has not changed.
We trim our meats in house, slow cook our barbacoa, fresh press citrus for the bar daily, and build our dishes the way they should be built. Every plate, every bottle, and every cocktail has been chosen with intention and respect for the craft behind it.
Jarrell has grown fast, and we’ve grown with it — serving locals, travelers, and families who have been with us from the start. Cantina El Pitayo now features a carefully selected lineup of additive free, thoughtfully made tequila and mezcal, along with handcrafted cocktails designed to showcase agave with intention.
Located just off I 35, El Pitayo is worth the stop.
